My War Theory

I believe that Obito didn't start his war against the shinobi world because of Rin's death, I believe it's because he knew in the end that the villages would come together to fight him for the common good, knowing that afterwards they wouldn't be so keen on fighting each other ever again. I see this as Obito's answer to Minato and Jiraiya's question on how to gain true peace by taking down the shinobi system.

Obito states that Rin wasn't the only reason for the war, that it's the system that got her killed.
